Waldringfield Cadet Squadron Update Spring 2023

This year Cadet sailing has got off to a great start for the Waldringfield fleet with 13 boats taking part in the Alton Water 2023 Frostbite series. Both experienced and novice helms and crews took to the water to enjoy 16 races over 9 weekends. This was won by Rhona and Sophie with George and George hot on their transom! Not to mention some impressive racing from Evan and James and Tom and Ella as well as Daniel and Joshua improving week on week. There was also some enthusiastic crewing from Eliza standing in when required and always coming ashore with a smile on her face. Two days of Eastern Regional training run by Alex Page got everyone off to a good start and several boats travelled to Itchenor to further hone their skills.

After the Residential weekend training at Grafham and the legendary Frensham Open, Team Waldringfield will be returning to the picturesque River Deben as Cadet racing at the club starts for the season in March
